- Use apparatuses with low consumption of energy

- As far as possible, cover your dishes during the cooking (approx. 30% of saved energy), or use a pressure-cooker

- Limit the duration of the pre-heating of the oven and think of stopping it a few minutes before the end of the cooking

- Also use the after-heat of the plates to finish cooking

- The refrigerators should not be placed beside a heat source. In addition, it is generally not necessary to maintain a temperature lower than + 5°C

- It is important to regularly check the state of the joints of the refrigerator

- Do not let the ice accumulate in the freezer; the consumption of electricity can increase by 30%. Ready-cooked dishes placed in the refrigerator can in particular further the frost formation

- Use only reasonable quantities of cleaning agents and limit their number

- Use the dishwasher only when it is necessary. Avoid using it when it is only partially filled, without however overloading it. In addition, the preliminary wash is generally necessary only when the dishes are very dirty (while renouncing there, one can save up to 15% of energy)

- If your water is heated with solar energy, purchase a dishwasher able to receive directly this hot water, and thus reduce significantly its costs of running
